My kindergarten students will benefit from flexible seating because it encourages them to be focused, calm and productive. Comfortable students are more engaged actively in their learning. Empowering students with some degree of choice in seating and movement in the classroom is linked with better academic performance, better health and improvement in behavior. I believe the students will need to use problem solving skills which will involve making choices, sharing with classmates, and incorporating decision- making, while thinking about others in the process. Each year, I continue to search for different ways in which to enhance my classroom. I look forward to seeing the positive impact this provides for the children!
