Reading gives kids someplace to go when they have to stay where they are. I want books to be able to take them on great adventures while hearing about diverse characters and people who are just like themselves! Choice and voice are super important for building life-long readers. Students will be able to read these titles at their leisure and I'll be able to use them as mentor texts as we focus on various literacy skills. These books will create a hunger and desire to read more than my students have ever before!

About my class

Reading gives kids someplace to go when they have to stay where they are.
