Students need to have multiple modalities to engage in their learning. Art supplies like the multicultural crayons make self portraits and narrative writing more inclusive. Construction paper is so important to our many art projects. The kinetic sand is really useful for students who need more physical engagement. Kindergarteners are five and six years old and need may different access points to their learning. Reading needs to be fun and I don't know anyone who likes to read for fun at a desk in a plastic chair! The bean bags make reading a joy! We know that students need to feel safe, respected, and engaged in their classroom community. These supplies will help my kids feel that connection to our classroom and spark that love of learning.
