Navigating through a new society and way of life is difficult for anyone. Children are most vulnerable because they absorb every negative word that is spoken to them. My classroom is a safe environment for them to learn, grow, discover and build confidence in themselves. The most difficult part of integrating into a new society is learning the language. However, some of these students haven't learned to love reading in their own language. My goal is for them to love reading so much that they want to tell everyone every detail of the book. From there we can put all of their ideas into academia.

About my class
