We are encouraging students to read inside and outside the classroom. Students enjoy reading about characters that look like them or who may be dealing with some of the same issues they have or may face. We need to get books in student's hands. You can't judge a book by its cover, but you can decide if you want to pick it up or read it. Students need books they can take home and get lost in with characters they can relate to. Classroom libraries play a big role in getting students interested in reading and the opportunity to read for enjoyment.
