I would love to be able to provide a unique place for my students to sit with a buddy and read. Seating does make a difference in a classroom! If I had a small couch for my students it would allow them to look forward to reading each day. Even third graders like options other than a desk to sit in. This couch would allow my students to sit and enjoy buddy reading each day. Hopefully it would increase behavior as well. Students would look forward to the opportunity to sit on the couch and feel like they are at home. It would also be much more comfortable than the floor!
