In my classroom I am working on building a safe, caring, and welcoming environment where all students can be successful. With the poster set, my students will have motivational posters placed around the classroom to help them to do their best. The room will be inviting and colorful. Our school is working on not only the academics, but trying to build our students with social and emotional wellness because most of our students do not come from pleasant home lives. Having a journal in which they can write about their feeling, emotions, and dreams will help them learn more about their emotional needs and also allow me to know how best to help them. Clip boards, sheet, protectors, and dry erase markers will be used in many areas of the classroom. It is a way for them to answer questions, to work out problems, and to save trees at the same time.The books will help them learn to love reading.
