I would like a classroom set of Boogie Boards along with protective cases and specialized stylus pencils to replace the old, scratched, and worn out white boards that I have used for years. The downfall of white boards (besides being easily scratched) is that the markers are constantly in need of being replaced, increasing environmental waste and using precious budgetary resources. Boogie Board technology is appealing and exciting to students, enticing them to engage in the content. Yet, because Boogie Boards are not wifi enabled, we can be confident in student safety. Boogie Board e-writers are eco-friendly, reducing the use of paper and markers while building the capacity to provide a safe and engaging practice medium to my students. The batteries in a Boogie Board only need replaced once every 5 years, so these e-writers will be able to be utilized by students in my classroom for years to come without costly maintenance.
