At our school, our students love music and are very eagar to learn any band instrument, whether that be a woodwind, brass, or percussion instrument. Each instrument is unique, but some instruments require special materials. One of the most important pieces of equipment on a clarinet or saxophone is the reed. "What is a reed?" you may ask. A reed is a thin piece of wood that vibrates to create sound. Overtime, reeds wear down, chip, and break, so we need lots of them. Even though a reed is small, it can really make a difference for our young players.
