The paint will ensure that all students can use the art easel every day to practice letter/number formation, and to be creative in painting pictures that correlate with the theme that we are focusing on. Students love to paint. It is very calming for them, and a place where they have some freedom to paint what they would like to. Students then dictate their painting as I write their descriptions/thoughts on the bottom of their masterpiece! Pre- writing! The playdough is used to help students strengthen fine motor skills, form letters, numbers, and use their imaginations to create and build! As their fine motor skills develop they will be able to use the correct pencil grasp, use scissors correctly, color, and write their names.
