Flexible seating increases student engagement, makes the classroom more accessible for students, and meets the diverse learning styles of all students. It also allows for student choice, as the students will have options of where to work during their independent or group work time. By giving students a choice of where they will work, they will be more engaged and motivated with the tasks at hand. The seating options that I have chosen will give my students additional options when choosing a spot that works best for them. The wobble stools allow students to wiggle while they work. The flex-space comfy floor seats can be adjusted to the perfect position while they read and write around our classroom! Students can work anywhere around the room on a lightweight stool.
