If my project is funded I will use every piece of material I am provided with to help my students get the best education I can possibly offer. I will work with each student to find what sparks their interest. My project will help me find ways to awaken the dominant spirit that seeks to be recognized in each learner. The magnetic shapes tiles will be used in my lesson plan to teach my students what are the attributes of each shape. These magnetic shapes will help reinforce the lesson because my students will have concrete items they can see and feel while I'm teaching them. These magnetic tiles will allow the student to better grasp the concept of shapes and how they are all around us.
The magnetic tiles will be used to post visual reminders on the bulletin board to help my students navigate throughout their day. Students on the spectrum can sometimes feel overwhelmed or confused when their schedule changes without prior notice.
By having materials that require students to manipulate helps them to engage their logical thinking skills as well as their imagination. By helping me provide my students with work stations that are equipped with materials that are known to enhance the learning environment of children on the spectrum will make my teacher's heart smile.
