Many of my students have visual disabilities. A light table will allow us to better present information to them in a format that they are better able to see visually. It will allow us to present learning materials in a fun, interactive way that the students will find engaging. It can allow them to better see shapes, colors, identify numbers and letters more easily because of the contrast from the light. It can also be used as a place to explore and build when used with magnetic tiles or manipulatives requested. We will be able to use the letters to build words for beginning reading and sight word identification. Students will be able to see it better than when presented on paper or in a book.
