My students love to learn through play and I am always trying to find new ways to have them learn in fun and engaging ways. Since my class is a Pre-K class with students ages 3-4 a lot of emphasis is placed on fine motor skills as this is the foundation for holding a pencil, crayon, scissors, and zipping/buttoning. We do a lot of activities in class to support their needs, however, making it fun and engaging is always my number one priority in order to keep them focused and engaged. With this light table, they will be able to play and explore while at the same time increase their fine motor skills, which will allow for their creativity to "shine" through. I will also be able to take the pegs off of the table and use the table to teach them their shapes, letters, and numbers by illuminating them and teaching them through light and color exploration. Thank you to everyone who is able to support this project for my little ones.
