Aside from an interactive board provided, technology is not readily available in classrooms. It is not provided for everyday use. I would like my students to be able to have access to technology in our classroom every day. Technology gives students the ability to take charge of their own learning and makes them feel empowered about their accomplishments. In a historically low-performing district, I can't think of something more important than students feeling proud of their education and achievements. My students will be able to use these five new tablets (and cases) to explore and create places in stories they've read, access lessons, and experience literature in a way they never have before.
