I work with students who are below grade level in reading. I believe my students should have a solid grasp on phonics and understand how words work. I use a reading program which teaches one sound at a time. These books perfectly compliment my reading program. My students feel confident when reading these books because they are able to sound out every word. In addition, one sound is focused for each book which allows for a lot of practice. These books have shaped my teaching in the last seven years as a Reading Specialist and I have seen so many children grow into confident and able readers. Unfortunately I did not have access to these books at my new school. Thank you for your consideration!
