I am requesting materials that will allow me to implement flexible seating in my classroom. Flexible seating allows student to be independent and to learn how they best focus. In my experience as a teacher, focus doesn't always come in desks and chairs. I have switched my classroom to tables and a carpet area thus far. By providing wobble stools, balance ball seats and different types of flexible seating, I will be allowing my students a chance to find what works best for them. I want to give students as many seating options as they need, so they can progress in their learning and personal development. Students do not learn in the same way. Many cannot focus when they are uncomfortable. By giving them choices, I hope to increase student focus and their overall scores and knowledge.
