My students last year LOVED Mo Willems Pigeon Book Series and the Elephant and Piggie Series, however I only owned 3 of each series! I bet my new class of kinders would be OVERJOYED to have the whole collection! These books help teach my students character traits, good morals, feelings, and conflict/resolution and also have simple words that emerging readers can easily understand! These books are funny, interactive, and get all the students engaged in characters they love! My students last year would ask for Mo Willems stories to be read to them again and again and even would ask to read them during independent reading time.
