Social development is an integral part of fourth grade, and students are ready to be responsible for their own learning choices. These flexible seating resources will help students to feel more comfortable in the classroom in an environment that is conducive to learning and collaboration. The wobble stools will be used to replace traditional seating at round tables for students to work collaboratively. The surf desks can be utilized by students who prefer sitting on the floor to work on assignments or on laptops. Students will be free to move around the room as they complete assignments, do research, and work collaboratively. By donating to our project, you will be increasing the students' ability to focus and giving them the opportunity for self-regulation as they choose workspaces that benefit their own learning styles and preferences. Students will be given greater control over their environment and can learn in a more flexible space. They will develop a sense of ownership in the classroom and become responsible learners.
