The Next Generation Science Standards is a multi-state effort in the United States to create new education standards that are rich in content and practice, arranged in a coherent manner across disciplines and grades to provide all students an internationally benchmarked science education. in having to use the Next Generation Science Standards this means that showing connections to other topics not just in science but other fields. Offers inspiration for reaching beyond prepared curricula, engaging in discovery along with students and using your lessons to support the Next Generation Science Standards. It does specifically cover the new core that I will be will teaching, but the examples for multiply grades makes it easy for me to see the progression and plan professional development classes myself.
