I want my classroom to feel like home. I want to create a relaxing, peaceful environment for students. I already have a diffuser, warm stringed lighting, blankets, and a rocking chair. Bean bags would be great! Having different seating options can help to increase enjoyment in the learning activity, particularly reading. Different seating options can also be used as an incentive. I will allow students to sit in bean bag chairs for different instructional activities, silent reading, and pair work. I expect this to add an extra element of joy to their learning experience. Kids love bean bags, and I believe that a special touch having these items will let kids know even more they are important and worth spending extra money on. It creates a friendlier more relationship-centered classroom.
