I just completed my first year of teaching and am thrilled to be starting my second year! This past year I used items that the previous teacher left behind as well as some of my own resources in order to set up and operate the classroom. Many items were old or were in poor condition. My students use the computer daily and often had to share headphones because there were not enough and many of the ones we had did not work. Our class also borrowed many materials from other classrooms such as small clocks to practice elapsed time. My students are active and energetic. By using the fidget bands on the feet of their chairs, students will be able to bounce their feet on the bands and as a result be more focused on the task at hand. We also are in need of a mailbox system in order to hand out important papers and notes for home. My students make the best with what they have and never complain about old materials or having to share. I would love for them to be able to use brand new items in the classroom as well as show them that their teacher and community care about their education!
