The Mini Spheros will give my students the opportunity to learn the simple coding skills needed to program the robot. They will also learn how the various parts of the Mini Spheros work. Students will have to learn navigational skills to direct the robot to complete various tasks like navigating an obstacle course or carrying supplies during a simulation of water inequities lesson where they understand how some people have to travel distances to get "fresh" water. As robots continue to decrease the workload of many individuals, students need the basic skills to understand how these robots influence our lives. Learning to code is now a basic skill that all students should experience. Our school also has a competitive robotics team and this project will give students an experience that may lead them to participate with the team.
