These basic school materials may not seem like much, but they will allow my students to become successful learners this school year. The copy paper will allow my students hands-on access to any material we read together throughout the year. The post-its, highlighters, and pencils will allow students to read texts closely within groups or independently to help interpret and analyze meaning. Folders will allow my students with special needs to improve their organizational skills by carefully separating their science work from their social studies work. My students will thrive in the classroom with these new materials. Allowing them to effectively engage in all activities with the necessary tools will help them make significant growth this school year. Without the added stress of worrying about how to get school supplies for class, my students will be ready for all of the exciting activities in store for them this year!
