I recently completed the requirements to earn my Early Childhood Endorsement. I learned how important it is to be working at a developmentally appropriate level with children in the early grades. I plan to use this table so the my students can do word work, math problems, get the sensory input that their bodies need and so much more. As an example with the sensory beads, the students can practice spelling their sight words. In math they can also build and create 2 and 3 dimensional figures that go along with our Math curriculum. These are a few of the things I will do with this donation. There is an endless amount of research out there that supports the importance of purposeful play and exploration in a child's first years in school. I have worked very hard to create these opportunities by working all summer long to understand and be able to implement what I have learned. This table will be amazing and can be used for so many activities!
