Our school is a wonderful place where scholars and teachers both love learning. We value education and the importance of pushing our scholars to their highest potential by holding them to high expectations while having fun!
We are prioritizing social emotional learning so we can continue to support our scholars' holistic growth - mind, body and heart. Part of that vision is incorporating cool down corners to practice self-regulation skills in a safe space.
When schools embed social-emotional learning into their classrooms and curriculum, students and staff learn to be mindful of emotions, challenges, stresses, and traumas and make room for academic learning. By having the tools and materials requested, it will allow us to reach all scholars throughout the building by having tangible self-regulation tools.
With your help, you can support an entire school population about self-regulation strategies! The materials needed to have a cool down corner in every classroom (25) will give our scholars access and opportunities to self-regulate throughout the day.
