My students come from all parts of the world, and need a classroom library that tells their stories. I have chosen books about kids from Somalia, India, Afghanistan, Iraq and the US so that each child recognizes themselves in these books. My students reading levels vary from A-F and these books cater to all kinds of students, including my struggling and gifted readers. Your contribution will make a significant impact on these children's reading, engagement with words and overall literacy. My students will be able to read every day, and read about kids who are like them! We already have a library space in our classroom & a volunteer who will label and sort these books. All are eagerly awaiting are these books!
