I would love to bring joy to my students with a classroom library that is full of awesome books. I want my students to be able to choose at least 5-8 books a week for their book bins. I want my students to CHOOSE their books based on their interests and levels that will make reading more exciting, enjoyable, and engaging. However, I do not enough books in my classroom to be able to do this just yet. If this project is funded, I will be able to do the Daily 5 with my students. The Daily 5 consists of 5 centers: Read to Self, Read to Someone, Listen to Reading, Word Work, and Writing. Along with adding the Daily 5 into my routine, I will also get to enrich my students with books that they will get to talk about with their friends and encourage reading. I will be able to bring JOY to my classroom. There is nothing more joyful than seeing children excited to read.
