By having these items funded, my students will have a place to read other than their desks. This carpet will be a place where we can all come together to read together as a whole class, independently, or with partners. It is not just a place to read, but it will be where we meet for morning meeting. With Help from DonorsChoose, my students will be able to obtain necessary materials in order to learn and develop a love and passion for reading. If we are able to have this rug in our classroom, it will fulfill many learning needs. The students will build relationships on this rug through morning meetings. The students will be actively engaged in lessons as they work together on this rug. It will provide a place for for them to sit during interactive read aloud where I will sit with them in the chair and read them stories. I firmly believe that having this rug in my classroom will enhance the students' learning environment.
