I want to create a structured environment that gives my 5th graders the tools they need to monitor their own learning. The small group management chart will assist students in staying on task and work independently during their ELA and Social Science activities. Our school emphasizes SEL and this tool will help my students be more aware and responsible for their own learning. I want my 5th graders to have choices about how they learn through flexible seating options. The stools will be the first step in creating more options for my students and can be utilized in many ways with seating and using them as tables for independent work. Personalized learning is about the needs of the student and I want to make sure that I give them options about how they work with others and independently.
