My students will be engaged while learning. Why you asked? I love using game boards and puzzles to get students motivated while working in an activity and I'm requesting Connect 4, Charades for Kids, and a Classic Games Set. Imagine as Frida sits at my table during small group instruction learning fractions. She is attentive and on task. It is her turn to show me what she learned. She works diligently and gets her work correct. Her reward is getting a turn in tic-tac-toe. Jose seeing this motivates him to do well so he can get a turn. Jorge seeing this also gets motivated and asks questions since he has difficulty solving the problem. Through games, I have found that students are more engaged. I also am asking for canvas panels, tissue paper squares, and white cardstock for other fun projects.
