This document camera will assist me in delivering quality distance learning instruction to my dyslexic students. Through the eyes of this camera, my students will be able to see the materials that they are required to read and master in their current dyslexia program. Students need to be able to see the letter, word, and sentence cards clearly from home. They also need to read from student books that they do not currently have available at home. Additionally, I also need to deliver handwriting and spelling written instruction to them and model the cursive writing letter strokes, word, and sentence formations. Dyslexic students are visual learners and as such, I would like to be able to level the playing field, sort of speak, and be able to provide them with the appropriate accommodations for their continued success. I will also be providing summer school instruction to my students from home so that they continue receiving instruction through the summer months. This document camera will be a big asset to me and to my students alike in dealing with this distance/virtual learning situation.
