It is my hope to be able to provide each of my 2nd graders with their own whiteboard and set of whiteboard markers to use at home during Distance Learning. I believe using the whiteboards for quick whole class feedback to Y/N and T/F questions is the most efficient way to do a “quick check” of student progress. They are also an environmentally safe and responsible solution to the huge waste of paper in schools across the nation. Students don’t need to work-out math problems or practice spelling words on paper when they have a reusable/erasable whiteboard in their hands. Whiteboards are also much easier to see and hold up to the computer screen during daily online class meetings. During this time of COVID-19 it is even more important that classroom resources, task cards, manipulatives, instructions in centers, etc. be easy to wipe clean and sanitize. A laminator incases these resources in thick sturdy plastic. These resources will not only be easy to sanitize, but will also save lots of money and trees by being reusable. Please help my class to achieve great success through this difficult time. Thank you!
