Classroom libraries are the backbone of classroom activity. Much of what goes on each day draws from or occurs in or around the resources and space provided within the classroom library. Research has shown that classroom libraries help students attain reading achievement. Children learning to read need access to meaningful and personally interesting books. By partnering with me in building our classroom library, you will be playing a vital role in helping to provide access to books and promoting literacy. This library will give students the potential to increase motivation, engagement, leveled achievement and help them become the critical thinkers, analytical readers, and informed citizens that I know they can be.
