It is important to not only make the classroom functional for the students but also for the teacher. Having a bulky teacher desk can take away value space in the classroom, a standing desk will use less space and my full attention will be on the students. Flexible seating is important to have in the classroom. Students learn in different ways and we need to celebrate that not hinder it. Some students cannot sit at a desk all day, I know i cant. Movement is sometimes key to keep the students engaged and wanting to learn. I want to make sure I provide the best environment for them so that we all have the best seat in the classroom.
