All of my students understand the importance of reading. My students will use these tablets in the listening center to listen to stories and learn reading skills. As they grow as readers, listening and reading stories on their level will reinforce lessons taught in whole group. These online stories will engage students through fluency lessons and reinforce these skills in small group. I have a print-rich classroom full of independent reading areas. These tablets will enhance my classroom as my students continue to learn to read. Tablets will give them the opportunity to access books at their reading level for continued success. This reading area will be next to the classroom library so they may independently read as they learn a skill.
