With these kits, students are able to study how wind can generate electricity. They are able to vary certain variables such as blade shape, size, and angle. They are able to hook these turbines up to power lights and buzzers. They can also use these wind turbines to study electrical circuits - both parallel and serial, as they wire the turbines together. Many of my students haven't had access to these types of hands-on materials to study the science of electricity, energy, or renewable resources. These kits will enable them to do so as well as experiment with how to design and construct a working wind turbine.
