As a teacher early on in my career, it's difficult to be able to afford a sustainable classroom library. My students have the opportunity to silently read a book of their choice for 15 minutes each day, and some of my avid readers can run out of options pretty quickly. Please help me build my library so I can allow students to build a love for reading while reading books they enjoy and can relate to. Reading a good book is one of the best ways to escape reality. Walking around our classroom and seeing a student smile, or shed a tear, or laugh our loud due to a book is one of the many reasons I love my job. When students learn to love reading, all aspects of the educational career prosper. Consistent reading is proven to not only aid students in ELA class but across the board in all subjects. Good readers are more creative; they can ​communicate more clearly, and empathize with others. Please help me give my students the tools they need to be the best learners they can be!
