These hands-on learning manipulatives will provide my classroom of learners with so much! With these tools, I will be able to enhance children with Play and STEM learning which will not only create critical thinkers but also teach them about cooperation, empathy, and a passion to create the unimaginable! Learning happens through cooperation AND laughter so with your support, I can help create a new love for learning! Early in the school year, I always introduce classic fairy tales to my students such as The Three Billy Goats Gruff and/or The Three Little Pigs. During my Play/STEM time, I will engage my students with the Creative Kids Flakes to build a bridge similar to that in The Three Billy Goats to defeat the Ugly Troll. With the requested MICHLEY Building Blocks, I will encourage my students to build a more durable structure that would prevent the Big Bad Wolf from coming in, just like in the Three Little Pigs. As the year goes on, I envision my learning to grow as well, as I will research more from the book titled, Awesome Engineering Activities for Kids: 50+ Exciting STEAM Projects to Design and Build. My hope for the year is for my students and I to grow together and open our minds to the many opportunities out there.
