Each year my goal is to provide my students with a welcoming and stress-free environment. I love it when my classroom feels like a second home. I love to play music and would love to have the led lights to line my board and provide lighting that is less harsh than what we currently have. Another way that I try to create a more welcoming and peaceful environment is by utilizing certain procedures so that transitions are seamless for us all. The color changing light pucks will help to alert students to the noise/voice levels that should be used in class. This year I want my students to “Dream Big”. I’m excited to help my students express their dreams, set goals, and meet them. Most of the supplies that I am requesting are for my students to use. The dry erase sleeves, erasers, and markers help us when we practice annotating our texts and writing essays and sticky notes and flag tabs are helpful when completing novel studies. The erasers, pencils and sharpeners, paper, and other supplies are for students to use in class. Students sometimes are not able to obtain supplies when they begin the school year or are unable to replenish them throughout the year. During the year I also create various projects for my students to complete. Glue sticks and colored paper are always needed to create brochures, book jackets, and various types of book reports. Another resource that helps to eliminate worry will be the wall organizer which is used to store work for absent students. By having supplies stored, I can help my students focus on being successful and reaching their goals without worry.
