My Gifted and Talented program is a Project Based program. We provide standards based enrichment to gifted students in 2nd through 6th grades. The Time for Kids magazines will provide my students with a great resource for research and discussion that will expose the students to using a periodical as a current resource. I hope to use robotics to empower students to make their ideas real! When embedding robotics into the curriculum, students don't even realize that they are solving complex problems with critical thinking and creativity skills. Students will use the engineering process to take their ideas and turn them into a working prototype. Students will be using the WeDo 2.0 and EV3 Science add-on tools including: a temperature sensor, solar panel, turbine blades, a motor/generator, LED lights, and extension wire, a LEGO Energy Meter. (EV3 robot already purchased)
