My students will be able to turn and talk, participate in group projects, and will read one-on-one and in flexible grouping or pairs. I will be able to provide guided reading and remediation instruction and enrich all learners. With this furniture, students will be able to grow as readers and write in different centers and stations within the classroom. They will be able to work with clipboards or texts on the rugs, which will enable me to differentiate instruction. Flexible seating allows students to take charge of their learning and make better choices. During independent work times, they will be able to choose a better location in the classroom. Student comfort is an essential component in motivating them to encourage greater performance. Students will be more engaged in their work when they are given a choice of their seating and will promote their reading skills and academic success.
