As a first year teacher, I am coming into the classroom with no supplies. I will be purchasing numerous items on my own. However, even with the supplies I purchase, I will be unable to carry out the fun and exciting lessons I have planned, unless I have a class set of books for my students to read. With these books, I will be able to get my students engaged in powerful pieces of literature. My goal is to make English class fun and relevant for every student in my class. The themes in both these works will lead to so many discussions and learning opportunities.

About my class
