My students need a variety of opportunity’s to make learning fun, engaging and meaningful. One of their favorite things to do is listen to books. I love reading books to my students. Having a literacy center would allow them another opportunity to listen to books in their center. Students would be able to snuggle up, listen to a book on cd and follow along with their own personal book. Listening to a book on cd will help the students succeed early on in life. It will help promote imagination, creativity, and language skills. A child will never forget their favorite childhood book.
