Our school is located in a low income neighborhood in West Baltimore. Funds will be used to help support students with back to school supplies that they may not be able to supply themselves. School supplies that will be received include folders, glue sticks, pencil pouches, etc. These supplies will help students to reach their fullest academic potential at the beginning of the year. The folders will help students organize their school work in ELA and will be a take home folder for homework. The pencil pouches will be used in the classroom to help students keep up with their pencils and erasers. In my classroom, I use this tool to help teach them responsibility and how to take care of their belongings. The glue sticks will help us in projects and completing classwork. These are just a few examples of how I plan to use the supplies in my classroom.
