My job as an Education Specialist is to help students with disabilities learn. In special education there is no "one size fits all" approach. Special education, in general, refers to a range of services that be provided in different ways and in different setting. It is my responsibility to ensure those services are being provided and strive to help my students succeed in school and in life. I work with students who have a wide range of disabilities that include Autism Spectrum Disorder, Learning Disabilities, Orthopedic Impairments, and Other Health Impairment. If you spent a day in my classroom you would witness students experiencing joy, satisfaction, frustration, anger, sadness, fear, proudness, anxiety, calmness, and so much more. Amazing things really do happen here!
