It is crucial to develop a love for reading in elementary school. I want to provide my second grade students with a mini library where they can look forward to choosing a new book to read every day. By allowing students to select their own book from the shelf, they are personally investing in their learning process. I want my students to feel engaged and excited about reading and their own development. The mini library would help support a student-centered classroom where second graders enjoy developing their reading abilities. These books would be used each day by students who are looking forward to reaching their reading goals.
