With this new seating, my scholars will have a chance to choose what works for them. By the third grade they have built up a longer attention span, but they are still 8 years old. Some of them are unable to sit still and need to move in some way, so this will help greatly with that. Both options will give them another choice other than to stand. When scholars are given more choices and control over their learning, they feel more empowered and engaged in their learning. In turn, that will help them produce more success outcomes in their work across all subject areas.
