Flexible seating allows youngsters to stay focused on their work while getting their stored energy out. My students are more engaged and less disruptive when given a choice of where they’d like to work. Last year, I purchased a few stools for my small group table, along with a handful of lapdesks and both were such a hit. Children love to have a choice, and giving them the option to choose how they would work best helps for them to showcase their best work! I’d like for them to have more options this school year, and not have to sit or lay on the floor with a clipboard in hand. These yoga balls, wobble chairs, and soft cushions will be used daily in all subject areas.
