7th and 8th grade students will be lead through character education and leadership training using The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens by Sean Covey to help create a common language. Sean Covey is able to hold student attention and touch on a wide variety of skills needed to help with life's journey. This knowledge will be coupled with The Big Life Journal. Students will practice functioning with a growth mindset and not lose sight of their goals. Students will see themselves as responsible members of their school community, realizing they do not function alone but in partnership. Our successes will be noted in our language, motivation, and support of each other.
